Job Description
This position is accountable for teaching and the supervision of students in Hospitality Management Instructor state frameworks and curriculum disciplines under the direction of the Hospitality Management Department Head.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: (to be included along with other responsibilities)
1. Responsible for the implementation of departmental curriculum objectives based on State of Massachusetts VTE frameworks for Hospitality Management.
2. Advanced educational preparation in Hospitality Management applications.
3. Responsible for assuring equal educational opportunity to all individuals regardless of race, color, gender, age, marital status, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, homelessness, or disability.
4. Performance of other job-related duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1. MA DESE Vocational Technical Teacher’s License (Chapter 74) in Hospitality Management.
2. Advanced educational/industry preparation in Hospitality Management applications.
3. Evidence of full-time experience directly related to hospitality management.
4. Knowledge of ServSafe regulations.
5. Evidence of good human relation skills.
6. Competent in computer applications.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Demonstrated experience supporting students with special needs
2. Ability to speak Albanian, Arabic, Nepali, Portuguese, Spanish, Vietnamese or an African Language.
3. Demonstrated experience with second language acquisition
WORK YEAR: 185 days
SALARY: Salary scale shown is based on the candidate meeting the requirements for Vocational Level 1. Potential to increase based on Vocational Educator Licensure and vocational credits.
