Staff Accountant  Job Summary

As the Staff Accountant for Ascend Staffing, you'll  assist with general accounting functions including :

  • Reconciling all General Ledger accounts including bank accounts
  • Month-end report preparation and quarterly and yearly company financial statements
  • Playing a pivotal role in supporting all staff payments and month-end functions
  • Contributing to financial analysis, models, and growth
  • Assisting Controller & CFO with other projects and workload

    • Staff Accountant Tasks & Duties (What You'll Do)

  • Oversee Balance Sheet accounts reconciliation
  • Help with Month End processes and procedure
  • Process Staff Expense Reports
  • Process Credit card and ACH payments
  • Help facilitate financial analysis of the company
  • General support for all accounting functions
  • Maintain applicable accounting policies
  • Other assignments as deemed necessary by the Controller & CFO

    • Staff Accountant Skills & Qualifications

  • College Degree in Accounting / Finance (or currently pursuing BA / BS Degree) or 1-2 years of accounting, taxes, finance, or bookkeeping experience
  • Proficient with Microsoft Suite, with an emphasis on Excel
  • Sage Intacct experience, preferred
  • Ability to reconcile balance sheet accounts
  • Demonstrated strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills; ability to effectively communicate with others in a professional manner
  • Ability to function in a professional office environment and utilize standard office equipment
