Job description

Whole Hearted Home Care -

About the job

Whole Hearted Senior Home Care is a growing non-medical home care agency, and we need caregivers who show up. You'll work one-on-one with seniors in their own homes, including clients with dementia and Alzheimer's, helping with the activities of daily living that let them stay where they want to be: bathing, dressing, transfers and mobility assistance, meal preparation, medication reminders, light housekeeping, and errands. No hospital, no facility floor — one client, one home, one shift at a time.

We have more open shifts than we can cover. Full-time, part-time, and per diem schedules are all available, with day, evening, overnight, and weekend shifts. Tell us what you want and we'll build a flexible schedule around it.

The one thing we can't train

Reliability. Our clients and their families plan their day around you arriving at the scheduled time. If you have a track record of showing up on time, every time, at your last job, you're already most of the way to being hired here. We check references for this specifically.

Experience is welcome, not required

We train you, and we pay you for that training. Prior caregiving experience as a home health aide, personal care attendant, nursing assistant, LNA, or CNA helps and pays more. But some of our best caregivers came from other work where they learned to show up and take care of people:

  • Childcare: daycare, preschool, early childhood or after-school programs, nanny or babysitting work

  • Disability and behavioral health: direct support professional, residential counselor, group home or day program staff, paraprofessional or special education aide, autism or mental health support

  • Senior living: assisted living, nursing home, or memory care staff in any role, including dietary aide, kitchen, activities, and housekeeping

  • Healthcare support: hospital aide, rehab aide, patient care technician, or hospice volunteer

  • Cleaning: house cleaner, housekeeper, hotel housekeeping, or custodial work

  • Family: anyone who has cared for a parent or grandparent at home

If you've handled the messy, unpredictable parts of taking care of another person and kept coming back, you'll fit here.

What you need

  • Willingness to travel up to 45 minutes to a client's home

  • Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and current auto insurance

  • Ability to pass a background check

  • TB test and physical from the last year (we can help you get these)

  • Comfortable working independently in a client's home

  • A phone you answer

What you get

  • Paid every week

  • Pay above most local agencies, set by your experience

  • Paid orientation and training

  • Mileage paid when we send you outside your usual area

  • Paid time off for full-time caregivers after one year

  • Referral bonus for caregivers you bring on who stay

  • A small office team that picks up the phone

Whole Hearted Senior Home Care is an equal opportunity employer.
