Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team at North Rehab. In this position, you will maintain a clean, safe, sanitary, and comfortable environment for our residents, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

• Resident Room Cleaning: Dust, vacuum, dry mop, and wet mop resident bedrooms and living spaces daily.

• Sanitization: Clean and disinfect washbasins, toilets, showers, mirrors, and chrome fixtures using medical-grade disinfectants.

• Deep Cleaning: Clean window blinds, light fixtures, windowsills, bed frames, and mattress covers thoroughly during scheduled deep cleans.

• Waste Disposal: Empty, wash, and reline waste baskets daily, and safely remove isolation room waste using proper biohazard procedures.

• Supply Management: Maintain a clean, organized housekeeping cart and restock sanitation supplies without leaving chemicals unattended.

• Safety Compliance: Report any broken equipment, maintenance issues, or safety hazards immediately to the EVS Supervisor.

• Resident Interaction: Embody warmth and respect when working around residents, respecting their privacy, dignity, and personal space.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Age: Must be at least 18 years of age.

• Experience: Prior experience in commercial cleaning, janitorial work, or a healthcare setting is preferred but not required.

• Communication: Ability to read, write, speak, and understand instructions in English to safely handle chemical labels.
