Temporary Payroll And Hr Assistant
This position is to cover for a maternity leave from Katie. She will be going out approximately on January 21st and then will be out for 8-9 weeks there afterwards. She would like to get someone in as soon as possible to train for at least a month before she goes out on maternity leave. This temporary employee will be covering payroll for about 40 individuals. This number might rise though if there are snow falls as they bring in more employees to cover for that. Every employee is on direct deposit, so no printing of live checks and they are using Foundation Software (any payroll software is accepted). This temporary employee will also be dealing with unemployment claims as most of the employees that work here are seasonal as they do asphalt. So, they are looking for someone who has a few years in payroll and some HR to handle the unemployment claims. They are not fighting the claims, just assisting these seasonal employees with filling out the forms the proper way. This position will report to Peter Cleary (CFO). The hours are adjustable but the baseline for this is Monday, Tuesday and Friday from 7 : 30am-4pm. Payrate is $34 / hr-$40 / hr with a 45% MU. Please understand that casual language is sometimes used here and that is sometimes colorful, so if someone doesnt like hearing swearing, this is not for them.
