HR Director

Relentless Hospitality Collective is a fast-growing hospitality organization operating multiple brands across restaurant operations, catering, culinary management, and shared services. With more than 125 employees across multiple states and four operating entities, we are building an exceptional organization focused on operational excellence, outstanding hospitality, and a people-first culture.

We are seeking an experienced Director of Human Resources to lead the HR function across all company entities. This role serves as a strategic business partner to executive leadership while remaining actively involved in day-to-day HR operations. The Director of Human Resources will be responsible for developing and executing people strategies that support organizational growth, strengthen leadership, ensure compliance, and foster an engaging workplace culture.

This position requires a dynamic HR leader who is equally comfortable developing long-term strategies, coaching leaders, managing employee relations, recruiting top talent, conducting workplace investigations, and building scalable HR systems to support a rapidly expanding organization.

This role is required to work a minimum of 40 hours per week. Flexibility is essential, including availability MondayFriday with occasional evenings, weekends, and on-site presence during peak service periods, openings, training rollouts, or critical employee matters.

Responsibilities and duties include:

  • Develop and execute company-wide HR strategies aligned with organizational goals and growth initiatives.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on workforce planning, organizational development, succession planning, and talent management.
  • Partner with department leaders to improve organizational effectiveness and employee performance.
  • Lead HR planning for new business, restaurant, and operational expansions.
  • Lead recruitment efforts for executive, management, corporate, culinary, and difficult-to-fill positions.
  • Develop proactive recruiting strategies to attract high-quality talent.
  • Oversee hiring processes, interview standards, selection procedures, and onboarding programs.
  • Build workforce plans to support company growth and expansion.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to managers regarding employee performance, conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and employment decisions.
  • Lead complex employee relations matters while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Conduct workplace investigations involving policy violations, complaints, harassment, discrimination, or other sensitive issues.
  • Recommend appropriate corrective actions and ensure consistent policy application.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Maintain and update employee handbook, HR policies, and company procedures.
  • Monitor legal and regulatory changes affecting employment practices.
  • Partner with legal counsel when necessary regarding employment matters.
  • Oversee employment documentation and personnel records.
  • Develop and manage company performance management programs.
  • Coach leaders on effective performance conversations, accountability, and employee development.
  • Identify leadership development opportunities and implement management training programs.
  • Support succession planning initiatives.
  • Develop programs that enhance employee engagement, retention, and workplace culture.

  • Manage and develop the HR administrative team responsible for payroll coordination, benefits administration, onboarding, and employee records.
  • Ensure efficient and compliant HR processes across all business entities.
  • Collaborate with Payroll and Benefits teams to ensure accurate employee administration.
  • Build scalable HR systems, workflows, and best practices that support organizational growth.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and process improvements.
  • Evaluate HR technology and recommend enhancements to improve operational efficiency.
  • Develop HR dashboards and workforce analytics.
  • Analyze hiring, turnover, retention, labor trends, and employee engagement metrics.
  • Present HR insights and recommendations to executive leadership.
  • Utilize data to support strategic business decisions.
  • Participate in leadership meetings and strategic planning sessions.
  • Support special projects and organizational initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by executive leadership.

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive Human Resources experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years in an HR leadership or management role.
  • Experience supporting multi-location organizations.
  • Extensive knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and HR compliance.
  • Demonstrated experience conducting workplace investigations and managing complex employee relations matters.
  • Experience recruiting executive, leadership, corporate, and professional-level positions.
  • Proven ability to develop HR strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Experience managing HR policies, procedures, and organizational change initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of HRIS, payroll systems, and HR technology.
  • Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Exceptional judgment, discretion, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Hospitality, restaurant, food service, retail, or other multi-unit operational experience.
  • Experience supporting organizations with multiple legal entities.
  • Professional HR certification such as PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP.
  • Experience implementing HR systems, process improvements, and organizational development initiatives.

Compensation and benefits include:
