Director, HR And Culture Communications

Boston Scientific is seeking a strategic, collaborative and results-driven communications leader to serve as director, HR and Culture Communications. Reporting to the Vice President, Global Corporate Communications, this role is the senior communications advisor to the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) and HR Leadership Team (HRLT) and a member of the Global Corporate Communications Leadership Team.

In partnership with HR, corporate communications and business leaders, this role sets the strategic direction for HR communications, leads and develops a high-performing team, and drives measurable impact through clear, compelling and integrated communications that further strengthen culture, support business transformation and enhance the employee experience. Additionally, strong partnership with the corporate reputation, enterprise communications and business unit communications teams will ensure an integrated, wholistic approach across internal and external communications and shared audiences and stakeholders.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Define and lead the enterprise HR communications strategy, establishing priorities, governance and plans that align with HR, business and corporate communications priorities.
  • Serve as the senior communications advisor to the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) and HR Leadership Team (HRLT), providing strategic counsel on enterprise communications, organizational priorities, business transformation, organizational transformation, workforce issues and other high-impact or sensitive matters.
  • Establish the vision, operating model and governance for the HR communications function, ensuring clear priorities, decision-making frameworks and standards in alignment with enterprise editorial standards.
  • Serve as a member of the Global Corporate Communications Leadership Team, representing the HR communications function and contributing to reputation and enterprise communications strategies and priority setting.
  • Lead, develop and inspire a high-performing HR communications team, building future-ready capabilities and advancing modern communications practices, responsible AI adoption and innovation to strengthen employee engagement and business outcomes.
  • Establish communications objectives, metrics and insights to measure effectiveness, inform strategy and continuously improve employee engagement and business outcomes.

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, public relations or a related field
  • Minimum of 12 years of progressive communications experience in a corporate or agency environment
  • Demonstrated experience leading and developing communications team members
  • Proven experience as a senior communications counselor to senior executives, with demonstrated ability to advise on high-stakes communications and reputational matters
  • Strong background in leading communications strategies within a global and matrixed organization, including governance, prioritization and measurement
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and influence at all levels
  • Strong strategic mindset with the ability to translate complex business priorities into clear, enterprise-wide messaging
  • Ability to manage competing organizational priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards and stakeholder trust
  • Familiarity with AI-enabled communications tools and responsible AI practices to enhance workflow efficiency, content development and performance analysis
  • High emotional intelligence; adept at building consensus and leading effectively across diverse stakeholders

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in a global medtech, life sciences or healthcare company
  • Experience in both a corporate and agency communications environment
  • Experience leading communications through significant organizational change or large-scale workforce events

Work mode:

At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a hybrid work model requiring employees to be in our local office at least three days per week.

Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs.
