Job description

HR Generalist (Hybrid | Dallas-Fort Worth Area)

People Performance Resources (PPR) is a human capital consulting firm founded in 2010. We partner with for-profit and nonprofit organizations across the country and internationally to build stronger workplaces, healthier cultures, and more effective people practices. We are known for combining big-picture HR strategy with hands-on execution and for doing so with warmth, trust, and high integrity.

As we continue to grow, we are seeking an HR Generalist local to DFW to join our collaborative and high-performing People and Culture team. This role is ideal for an HR professional who enjoys both strategic thinking and practical execution, thrives in fast-moving environments, and is energized by building trusted relationships with leaders across multiple organizations.

Key Areas of Impact:

As an HR Generalist at PPR, you'll be a trusted day-to-day HR partner to clients while supporting a wide range of people and operational initiatives. Responsibilities include:

  • Advising clients on employee relations, compliance, performance management, leaves, accommodations, investigations, audits, and HR best practices
  • Partnering with PPR's internal Payroll and Benefits Department in support of clients' payroll, benefits, HRIS administration, and year-end compliance activities
  • Leading HR process improvement
  • Drafting policies, employee communications, corrective actions, and other HR documentation
  • Building strong client relationships through responsiveness, sound judgment, and professionalism
  • Navigating multiple clients, priorities, and business environments with adaptability and accountability
  • Contributing positively to team collaboration, knowledge sharing, and firm culture

Expertise and Mindset We Value:

We value professionals who are self-directed, client-savvy, and passionate about HR done right. You'll have the opportunity to be tactical, shape strategy, guide growing organizations, and be a trusted voice for your clients.

  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience with demonstrated ability to manage both tactical and strategic priorities
  • Strong employee relations and compliance knowledge
  • Experience being a liaison between internal and client payroll and benefits
  • Experience implementing or optimizing HRIS platforms (e.g., Gusto, Paylocity, ADP, etc.)
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and influencing skills
  • High degree of confidentiality, sound judgment and accountability
  • Managing multiple priorities and shifting business needs
  • A collaborative, accountable, and client-service-oriented mindset
  • HR certification preferred (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR)
  • A bachelor's degree
  • Performs work with a low-ego, high-accountability mindset
  • Demonstrates willingness to step in and support evolving business and client needs proactively

We're proud to be named a Best Place for Working ParentsTM, a reflection of your commitment to flexibility, inclusion and well-being. At PPR, we:

  • Invest in you: generous PTO, 401(k) with match, medical/dental/vision
  • Value balance: flexible hybrid schedules and sustainable workloads
  • Put people first: a culture of inclusion, equity, and belonging is at our core
  • Support your growth: hands-on mentorship and opportunities to stretch

Be Present. Be Fair. Be Yourself.
