Position Summary


We are seeking a detail-oriented Human Resources Specialist to support recruitment, employee relations, HR administration, payroll coordination, benefits, and compliance activities. This position will serve as a key point of contact for English- and Mandarin-speaking employees and candidates.


Professional proficiency in both English and Mandarin is required because the role regularly communicates HR policies, benefits information, workplace procedures, and employee matters in both languages.


Key Responsibilities


  • Manage full-cycle recruitment for warehouse, logistics, operations, and administrative positions.
  • Source candidates, screen résumés, conduct initial interviews, coordinate hiring-manager interviews, and support offer preparation.
  • Coordinate new-hire onboarding, orientation, employment eligibility documentation, system access, and offboarding activities.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records in HR systems and personnel files.
  • Support Form I-9 completion and other employment documentation requirements.
  • Review employee time and attendance records and prepare accurate information for payroll processing.
  • Assist employees with questions regarding company policies, benefits, payroll, attendance, leave, and workplace procedures.
  • Support the administration of employee benefits and legally protected leaves in accordance with company policies and applicable requirements.
  • Assist management with employee relations matters, performance documentation, coaching, corrective actions, and workplace investigations.
  • Support workers’ compensation claims, workplace incident documentation, and safety-related administrative processes.
  • Help maintain compliance with applicable California and federal employment requirements, including wage-and-hour, meal-and-rest-period, leave, anti-discrimination, anti-harassment, and workplace safety requirements.
  • Coordinate employee training, policy acknowledgements, performance reviews, and other HR programs.
  • Prepare HR reports and track recruitment, turnover, attendance, headcount, and other workforce metrics.
  • Assist with employee communications, company events, and general office administration.
  • Protect confidential employee and company information.
  • Perform other HR-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications


  • One or more year of experience in human resources, recruitment, HR administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • Professional proficiency in both English and Mandarin, including speaking, reading, and writing.
  • Working knowledge of California employment practices and federal employment requirements.
  • Experience supporting recruitment, onboarding, employee records, payroll preparation, benefits, leave administration, or employee relations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate sensitive information clearly and professionally.
  • High level of accuracy, discretion, and confidentiality.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred; equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
