Job description

Who We Are

Miguel’s Restaurants is a multi-location California
restaurant brand built on strong culture, operational excellence, and
people-first leadership. Our success starts with our teams — and our HR
department plays a critical role in driving compliance, engagement, and
performance across our restaurants.

What We Offer

  • Competitive
    base salary

  • Annual
    performance bonus opportunity

  • Hybrid
schedule – 2 days per week work-from-home flexibility

  • Health

  • Leadership
    exposure and advancement opportunities

  • A
collaborative, fast-paced environment where your voice matters

Why You’ll Want to Work Here

This is an opportunity to make a measurable impact in a
dynamic hospitality organization. As our Human Resources Manager, you’ll
partner closely with Operations to support employee relations, compliance, and
workforce strategy across multiple locations. You’ll gain meaningful hands-on
experience while helping strengthen and evolve our people programs — all within
a supportive and team-oriented culture. You’ll support day-to-day Human
Resources operations across our restaurant locations.

This role is ideal for an HR professional with 2–3 years of
progressive HR experience who is ready to deepen their skills across employee
relations, compliance, and the full employee lifecycle, while partnering
closely with Operations, Training & Development and other support teams.

This position does not include direct supervision of
employees. This position partners with senior HR leadership for employment
decisions, ensuring compliance and adherence to
California employment law, cross-functional partnership with HR team
members, and future advancement opportunities. Bilingual English/Spanish skills
are strongly preferred.

documentation, and follow-up under the direction of HR leadership.

  • Promote
a positive, respectful, and inclusive work environment aligned with
    company culture and values.

Compliance & Risk Awareness

  • Assist
with ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws,
with a strong emphasis on California labor requirements.

  • Support
the administration and tracking of required training, certifications, and
    acknowledgments.

  • Assist
with maintaining and updating HR policies and handbooks to reflect current
    legal requirements and operational practices.

Payroll & Benefits Support

  • Partner
with Payroll Manager to ensure company policies, processes and legal
    requirements align with payroll processes.

  • Assist
with health and welfare benefits administration.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

with Operations, Training & Development, and other support teams on hiring
initiatives, training rollouts, and internal communications.

  • Participate
in HR-related projects that support operational goals and employee
    engagement.

  • Provide
administrative and analytical support for HR initiatives and operational
    needs.

Communication & Professional Development

  • Prepare
clear written communications, reports, and presentations related to HR
    initiatives.

  • Build
strong working relationships with managers and leaders at all levels.

  • Maintain
a professional, confidential, and consistent approach when handling
    sensitive employee information.

  • Actively
seek feedback, training, and development to build skills aligned with
    future HR leadership opportunities.

degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
    preferred.
