This is an opportunity to make a measurable impact in a
dynamic hospitality organization. As our Human Resources Manager, you’ll
partner closely with Operations to support employee relations, compliance, and
workforce strategy across multiple locations. You’ll gain meaningful hands-on
experience while helping strengthen and evolve our people programs — all within
a supportive and team-oriented culture. You’ll support day-to-day Human
Resources operations across our restaurant locations.
This role is ideal for an HR professional with 2–3 years of
progressive HR experience who is ready to deepen their skills across employee
relations, compliance, and the full employee lifecycle, while partnering
closely with Operations, Training & Development and other support teams.
This position does not include direct supervision of
employees. This position partners with senior HR leadership for employment
decisions, ensuring compliance and adherence to
California employment law, cross-functional partnership with HR team
members, and future advancement opportunities. Bilingual English/Spanish skills
are strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
HR Operations
- Maintain
accurate employee records and HR documentation in compliance with company
policies and employment laws.
- Assist
with audits, reporting, and process improvements related to HR operations.
Employee Relations & Support
- Serve
as a point of contact for employee questions regarding policies,
procedures, and workplace concerns.
- Support
employee relations matters by assisting with investigations,
documentation, and follow-up under the direction of HR leadership.
- Promote
a positive, respectful, and inclusive work environment aligned with
company culture and values.
Compliance & Risk Awareness
- Assist
with ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws,
with a strong emphasis on California labor requirements.
- Support
the administration and tracking of required training, certifications, and
acknowledgments.
- Assist
with maintaining and updating HR policies and handbooks to reflect current
legal requirements and operational practices.
Payroll & Benefits Support
- Partner
with Payroll Manager to ensure company policies, processes and legal
requirements align with payroll processes.
- Assist
with health and welfare benefits administration.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate
with Operations, Training & Development, and other support teams on hiring
initiatives, training rollouts, and internal communications.
- Participate
in HR-related projects that support operational goals and employee
engagement.
- Provide
administrative and analytical support for HR initiatives and operational
needs.
Communication & Professional Development
- Prepare
clear written communications, reports, and presentations related to HR
initiatives.
- Build
strong working relationships with managers and leaders at all levels.
- Maintain
a professional, confidential, and consistent approach when handling
sensitive employee information.
- Actively
seek feedback, training, and development to build skills aligned with
future HR leadership opportunities.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s
degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
preferred.
Experience
- 2–3
years of HR experience, ideally within hospitality, restaurant,
retail, or multi-location environments.
- Experience
supporting employee relations, compliance, and HR operations.
- Exposure
to payroll and benefits administration strongly preferred.
Skills
- Bilingual
English/Spanish preferred.
- Working
knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices (California experience
a plus).
- Strong
organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Professional,
approachable communication style with the ability to handle sensitive
information.
- Ability
to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Proficiency
with HRIS and payroll systems.
