Dr. Pete N. Mellas, DMD, MS, PLLC is excited to announce an opening for a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist at our reputable periodontal practice. Located in the Scottsdale / North Phoenix area, our practice provides high-quality dental care with a focus on periodontal health. We are currently looking to fill a part-time position that requires work for 1 day per week with a flexible schedule on Thursday, or Friday.

This is a non-remote job that demands a proactive and efficient professional who can effectively manage time and deliver exceptional patient care during each hourly scheduled appointment. Duties and Responsibilities

• Reviewing and updating patient health history.
• Discussing and reiterating treatment plans and options with patients.
• Conducting oral cancer screenings and providing oral hygiene instructions.
• Executing comprehensive periodontal charting.
• Performing dental prophylaxis, polishing, and scaling.
• Taking dental radiographs (x-rays).
• Ensuring the sterilization of instruments and equipment.
• Scheduling continuing care and follow-up appointments.
• Utilizing Dentrix software for patient management and Dexis imaging systems.
• Maintaining a clean and organized work environment to ensure efficient workflow and patient safety.
