We are seeking a dynamic Director of ICU to join a progressive hospital leadership team. This is an incredible opportunity for an experienced ICU leader who thrives in a high-acuity environment and is passionate about both clinical excellence and employee engagement.

What makes this role exciting:

• Reports directly to the CNO with 24/7 leadership responsibility.
• Oversight of ~110 team members, including Clinical Supervisors, RNs, and Patient Care Techs.
• Part of a STEMI and Comprehensive Stroke Center caring for medical, cardiac, and neuro patients.
• Serves on and chairs multiple key hospital committees, influencing outcomes across the organization.

What we’re looking for in a leader:

• Strong ICU experience (medical, cardiac, neuro preferred).
• High emotional intelligence with a gentle yet accountable leadership style.
• A proactive and inclusive communicator—able to explain rationale for decisions, listen first, and drive engagement through collaboration.
• A creative problem-solver who can strengthen staff retention, recruitment, and productivity.
• Proven ability to foster strong provider relationships and build trust with nursing, quality, and risk leaders.
• CA RN License
• 5 years acute care ICU RN exp
• 3 years acute care nursing leadership exp.
