Imagery Analyst – Geospatial Expertise (8+ Years Experience)
Location : Springfield, Virginia
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Imagery Analyst with a minimum of 8 years of experience in geospatial analysis to support the evaluation of imagery quality across a variety of advanced sensor systems. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and contribute to the optimization of imagery systems , helping to improve both the visual quality and functional performance of imagery products.
As an Imagery Analyst , you will play a pivotal role in quantifying the impact of system changes on imagery quality for both new and existing systems. You will work across a broad spectrum of sensors, including PAN , IR , MSI , SAR , FMV , and more. This position is essential to exploitation operations , ensuring high-quality imagery products are delivered to support mission success. Your expertise will help identify artifacts and anomalies and refine image quality standards to maintain operational excellence.
The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in imagery exploitation , a deep understanding of quality metrics (including NIIRS ), and proficiency in common imagery software tools. This role requires both independent work and strong collaboration with a dynamic team.
Required :
- Must have a minimum of a Top Secret clearance and willing to upgrade clearance to TS / SCI and sit for and pass a polygraph within 30 days of employment or at customers request- Contract requires TS / SCI with poly.
- 8+ years Imagery analysis experience in the Intelligence Community at the national level.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in related technical or scientific fields such as engineering, physics, mathematics, operations research, engineering management, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related STEM degree program; an additional 4 years of experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Strong background in SAR (Synthetic Aperture Radar) imagery tasking, collection, processing, exploitation and dissemination chain
- Attended either an Imagery Geospatial Intelligence Training Program or DoD equivalent
- Knowledge of soft copy exploitation functionalities
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Knowledge of RemoteView, IEC, SOCET GXP, and other imagery display software, and common office software to include PowerPoint presentations, spreadsheets, word processing
- Knowledge of the intelligence collection process
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Willingness to learn, solve problems and perform in a dynamic work environment
