Job Title : Construction Superintendent – Commercial Projects

Location : Montgomery, AL

Job Type : Full-time

Shift : Day shift

Pay Range : $65,000-$85,000 (based on experience)

Position Overview :

The Superintendent will be responsible for managing all on-site construction activities, coordinating subcontractors, enforcing safety standards, and ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Commercial construction experience is required for this role.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of commercial construction projects
  • Manage job site activities and ensure adherence to schedules and project plans
  • Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, trades, and labor crews
  • Conduct daily safety meetings and enforce OSHA standards
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential delays, and implement solutions
  • Review and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Ensure high-quality workmanship and adherence to building codes
  • Maintain accurate daily logs, reports, and documentation
  • Work closely with project managers, architects, and clients to resolve issues promptly
  • Oversee inspections and ensure compliance with all local regulations

Requirements :

  • 5+ years of experience as a Construction Superintendent with a focus on commercial projects
  • Proven track record managing mid-to-large scale commercial builds (retail, office, healthcare, industrial, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, scheduling, and safety regulations
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents
  • Proficient in project management and scheduling software (Procore, MS Project, etc.)
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
