Burg Simpson is seeking a trial Attorney for an exciting opportunity to be part of its Medical Malpractice team. The successful candidate will have 3-5 years of civil litigation experience (motions briefing, taking, and defending depositions, arguing motions, and trial or arbitration experience) in the areas of medical malpractice or personal injury litigation, and will collaborate with senior attorneys, other associates, and legal staff in developing case management strategies to complex legal issues. Responsibilities of the position include : Develop and maintain relationships with clients Counsel clients to understand their legal options Conduct research and prepare legal documents, pleadings, briefs and complex discovery Interview and depose parties and witnesses Strategize on case development, complex legal issues and resolution options Requirements of the position include : Active license to practice law in the state of Colorado Civil litigation experience including familiarity and application of state and federal rules of civil procedure, rules of evidence and attorney rules of ethical conduct Outstanding interpersonal skills Excellent research, writing, analytical and advocacy skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 products This is a full-time and permanent position, and we offer access to excellent benefits : health insurance, dental insurance, long-term disability, term life and AD&D, vision insurance short-term disability, dependent care / medical FSA, medical HSA, additional group accident and voluntary individual and family term life, AD&D, 401(k) retirement.
