POSITION : Instructional Technology Coordinator
REPORTS TO : Chief Officer for Technology and Innovation
JOB SUMMARY : Under the direction of the Chief Officer for Technology & Innovation, the Instructional Technology Coordinator develops, implements, directs, monitors, and evaluates all aspects of the integration of technology throughout the district's instructional program.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
- Participate in the development and selection of District curricula in an advisory role to assess instructional technology needs, ensure alignment of curricula to state digital literacy standards, and the implementation and use of instructional technology tools.
- Provide leadership in the evaluation, selection, implementation, and integration of instructional technology resources in all instructional content areas at all levels.
- Supervise, manage, and evaluate the Instructional Technology Coaches.
- Coordinate technology aspects of online and digital assessments and communicate to appropriate stakeholders.
- Maintain and guide processes for the ongoing evaluation of instructional technology resources for effectiveness, and viability
- Remain current on trends and innovation in instructional technology, and develop long term plans for upgrades, obsolescence, and replacement of instructional technology resources.
- In conjunction with the Data Specialist or designee, manage student rostering and provisioning of instructional technology resources.
- Ensure alignment of personnel and resources within the Technology Department for effective planning and implementation of instructional technology resources and practices.
- Collaborate with the Chief Officer of Technology and Innovation to ensure proper maintenance of student data privacy agreements between the District and providers of instructional technology software.
- Ensure compliance and establish practices to educate stakeholders regarding SOPPA compliance and other legal requirements regarding student data privacy.
- Consult with vendors and software providers to resolve software issues when applicable.
- Develop and maintain an ongoing program of Professional Development in the area of instructional technology, including associated tools and strategies for synchronous and asynchronous learning.
- Collaborate effectively with the Manager of Technology Support to align instructional technology and coaching with support and hardware demands at each school.
- Coordinate with site administrators to align instructional support for building goals and needs.
- Participate as directed in the development and implementation of District procedures, programs, and projects.
- Serve as the technology liaison for all E-Learning and summer program technology needs.
- Utilize staff feedback to inform instructional technology and innovation plans.
- Provide regular communication with educators and associated district personnel regarding the use of instructional technology.
- Other duties as assigned by the Chief Officer for Technology and Innovation and / or designee

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT : Minimum annual base salary for this position is $ 83,453, to be determined by the Superintendent based on experience and credentials. In addition to the base salary, this position offers fringe benefits, including, but not limited to, Board Contribution to the Teachers Retirement System (TRS), health, dental, vision, and life insurance. This is a 12-month certified administrative, non-bargaining position. FLSA Exempt Status.
EVALUATION : Performance of this role will be evaluated in accordance with the provisions of the Board's policy on evaluation of professional personnel, and in accordance with the applicable provisions of the Illinois School Code related to Principal evaluation.
