• Position Summary *This is an onsite position located in Fort Smith, AR* The IT Support Specialist provides Tier 1 user support and plays a critical role in servicing, maintaining, and deploying technology solutions across the company.
• This position supports both onsite and remote users and travels to regional locations to ensure seamless IT service delivery.
• Key Responsibilities Provide Tier 1 technical support to users for hardware, software, and peripheral issues.
• Assist with deployment, upgrades, and maintenance of computer systems and software.
• Travel up to 50% to regional locations to deliver onsite IT services and support.
• Maintain and manage inventory of regional IT assets.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues, escalating when necessary.
• Use remote tools, phone, chat, and in-person support to troubleshoot effectively.
• Document incidents and resolutions using the Help Desk ticketing system.
• Prioritize and follow up on user issues to ensure resolution and satisfaction.
• Participate in special IT projects as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in IT or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of professional experience in IT support.
• Proficiency with MS Windows, Active Directory, and G Suite.
• Experience with imaging and deployment tools such as Norton Ghost and Lansweeper.
• Working knowledge of RF mobile devices used for inventory or order processing.
• Understanding of PC hardware, software, and networking fundamentals.
• Ability to lift and move equipment up to 25 lbs. and travel regionally with a clean driving record.
• Preferred Qualifications Certifications such as A+, Network+, Microsoft MCP, or ITIL Foundations.
• Familiarity with IT asset management best practices.
