KPFF, Inc. is seeking a Structural Design Engineer for its Tacoma, WA office.

Job Duties : Responsible for structural design engineering for heavy civil, structural, industrial, and waterfront infrastructure projects in the Seattle-Tacoma metropolitan area, including ports, ferry terminals, industrial developments, shipyards, cruise terminals, small boat harbors and marinas, stormwater management, and fisheries engineering. Provide guidance to support consultants including pre-stressed concrete and seismic design analysis, non-linear pushover analysis, and soil-structure interaction analysis. Perform analysis and create and model structural designs using ASCE 61-14, AASHTO, IBC, ASCE-7, AISC, ACI, and NDS, as well as SAP2000, L-Pile, MS Excel, and VBA. Telecommuting permitted 2 days / week. Requires local and domestic travel up to 10%.

Minimum Requirements : Master's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, plus one year of experience in each of the following :

• Perform condition assessment and prepare inspection reports.
• Conduct engineering analysis using hand calculation and analysis software.
• Provide markups and develop design drawings using AutoCAD.
• Assist senior engineers in engineering evaluation and design.
• Research applicable design codes and guidelines, such as IBC, ASCE 7.

Salary : $92,400
