We’re recruiting on behalf of a respected law firm seeking an experienced Legal Assistant to join their Manhattan office. This role provides vital administrative and document support to attorneys and paralegals, ensuring deadlines are met and client needs are exceeded.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide proactive, high-level administrative support to attorneys and legal teams.

Edit and proofread legal and administrative documents for accuracy and consistency.

Manage multiple administrative tasks, including CLE credit tracking, calendaring, expense reimbursements, and scheduling.

Greet clients, coordinate meetings, and handle professional correspondence.
-
File documents electronically with courts and maintain organized case files in line with firm policy.
-
Support billing processes by entering attorney time, preparing reports, and managing client inquiries.
-
Monitor deadlines and ensure timely follow-up on pending matters.

Liaise with court personnel, attorneys, and staff to obtain and provide information.
Qualifications:

Background in legal administrative support, preferably 3+ years in a law firm setting.

Strong Microsoft Office skills; familiarity with legal software such as Kofax/Nuance, InTapp, LMS+, or iManage is a plus.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a detail-oriented mindset.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and work with a sense of urgency.
