JOB OPENING

The Oblate Service Corporation is seeking applicants for a NURSE(RN or LPN)- position at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Residence. Many of the residents are independent or semi-independent. The IHM Residence is inspired by the compassion and love of Jesus Christ ministering among the sick and needy. The staff focuses on one priority: providing the absolute best for faith-filled, personal, professional, and holistic care for every resident.

POSITION: NURSE-R.N. OR L.P.N.

POSITION STATUS: Full-Time- Non-Exempt Available

SUMMARY: Assists in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of health care provided at Immaculate Heart of Mary Residence (IHM), under the direction of the Nursing Supervisor. Provides delegated nursing care and functions at IHM as assigned by the Supervisor of Nursing using and complying with established procedures, policies, guidelines, and standards. Assesses health status of patients and follows a plan of care as prescribed by the Registered Nurse. Properly utilizes and maintains communication by utilizing the proper Chain of Command at IHM. Answers and refers to telephone calls or other inquiries to ensure accurate and timely communication is facilitated. Supervises unlicensed health care personnel. Accurately documents medical and pertinent information in medical records.

In the absence of the Nursing Supervisor acts as the liaison between patients, physicians, family members and the Oblate Administration. Assists patients, family members or other clients with concern and empathy; respect their confidentiality and privacy and communicate with them in a courteous and respectful manner. Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

WORK HOURS: Available Shifts: All Shift Available

EDUCATION/SKILLS: Graduate of an accredited LPN school, required. Current LVN license, required. Two years' clinical experience required. Valid Driver's License and safe driving record, required. Effective interpersonal and communication skills required. Ethical conduct, required. Patient, client focused, have personal effectiveness and credibility, required. Effective time management skills, required.
