Description
The Best Buy Teen Tech Center at Minneapolis Central Library is looking for adult mentors to work with youth ages 12 - 19.
Location and Hours:
Minneapolis Central Library is located downtown at 300 Nicollet Mall Minneapolis, MN 55401. Prospective mentors need to be able to commit to a 6-month time period, once a week for two hours per session. Volunteers are needed Monday - Thursday 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

The Best Buy Teen Tech Center is a creative, safe out-of-school-time learning environment. Youth (ages 12 - 19) work with adult mentors to explore their own ideas, develop new skills and build confidence in themselves through using technology. The Best Buy Teen Tech Center is youth-centered, intertest-driven and project-based with the emphasis on learning more than teaching. Teens are encouraged to become producers rather than just consumers of media, and learn through tinkering, playing and designing.Training provided by Program Coordinator, supervision by designated Hennepin County Library staff member.
