Essential Qualifications

• Previous Caregiving Experience : Personal or professional experience in caregiving is a plus.
• Empathy and Compassion : A deep understanding and sensitivity to the emotional and physical needs of the person being cared for, with a genuine desire to improve their quality of life.
• Patience : The ability to remain calm, understanding, and tolerant, especially in challenging or repetitive situations .
• Attention to Detail : Observant and able to notice any changes in the health or well-being of the individual.
• Communication Skills : Effective, clear, and compassionate communication to ensure the person being cared for feels understood and to provide updates to family members when necessary.
• Problem-Solving Abilities : Quick thinking and the ability to adapt to changing situations, often needing to find solutions independently.
• Time Management : Capable of organizing and completing caregiving tasks efficiently.
• English Communication : Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally (in person and on the phone) and in writing.
• Respect and Dignity : Ability to treat and care for clients and their property with dignity and respect.
• Adaptability : Ability to adapt to various living environments and locations.
• Travel Ability : Ability to travel at least 15 miles one way to an assignment.
• Willingness to consent to client safety devices that may include recording devices.
