Loan Officer / Member Experience Specialist III
We're seeking a motivated financial professional who is passionate about helping members achieve their goals. As a Loan Officer / Member Experience Specialist III, you'll guide members through consumer lending and account-opening processes while delivering exceptional service across phone, online, video, and in-person channels.
In this role, you'll evaluate loan applications, open new memberships, identify financial solutions, and build strong relationships that enhance the member experience.
Member Service & Relationship Building
Serve as a primary point of contact for member inquiries by phone, online, video banking, and in person. Provide prompt, professional service while resolving questions and identifying opportunities to meet members' financial needs. Educate members on Credit Union products, services, and digital banking solutions. Build relationships through outbound and follow-up communications.
Lending & Loan Processing
Receive, process, and fund consumer loans, credit cards, and Home Equity Line of Credit (HELOC) applications. Review applications, verify documentation, calculate income, and ensure compliance with lending policies and regulations. Coordinate loan closings and explain loan terms, payments, and related documentation. Assist members with ancillary products such as debt protection, GAP coverage, and extended warranties. Communicate with members, dealers, and internal teams to ensure a smooth lending experience.
New Accounts & Membership Growth
Open and maintain new membership and deposit accounts through both remote and in-person channels. Ensure account documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant. Recommend products and services that support members' financial goals and contribute to branch growth.
Operations & Team Support
Maintain accurate records, audit documentation, and complete required reports. Support process improvement initiatives and contribute ideas to enhance efficiency and member service. Collaborate with team members and departments to achieve organizational goals. Maintain a secure, organized, and professional work environment.

What We're Looking For
Required: High school diploma or equivalent 13 years of experience in a financial institution Experience with consumer lending, account opening, or member service functions Strong communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail Proficiency with business software and financial systems Preferred: Knowledge of consumer lending and new account procedures Understanding of Credit Union operations Sales, referral, or business development experience
