Job description

Position:

  • Valet Attendant (Part-Time) Department: Guest Services Location: Philadelphia, PA The Study at University City is seeking a dependable and service-oriented Part-Time Valet Attendant to provide a welcoming first impression and exceptional service to our guests.
  • As the first point of contact at the hotel, the Valet Attendant is responsible for safely parking and retrieving guest vehicles while delivering a warm, professional, and efficient guest experience.
  • This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and a genuine passion for hospitality.
  • Scheduling flexibility is required, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Our caring and attentive associates reinforce our belief that guest service is our highest priority.
  • We seek energetic, friendly individuals who take pride in creating memorable guest experiences.
  • Responsibilities Greet guests promptly and professionally upon arrival and departure.
  • Safely park and retrieve guest vehicles in a timely manner.
  • Assist guests with loading and unloading luggage.
  • Open doors and provide a welcoming first impression of the hotel.
  • Maintain organized and accurate vehicle ticketing and key control.
  • Monitor parking areas for safety, security, and proper vehicle handling.
  • Report any incidents, damages, or safety concerns immediately.
  • Maintain accurate records of valet activity and transactions.
  • Escort guests to guest rooms when needed and provide information on hotel services and amenities.
  • Assist with guest requests, including deliveries and room changes.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized valet and entrance area.
  • Support other departments as needed to ensure overall guest satisfaction.

Fundamentals Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous customer service experience required; hospitality experience preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required.
  • Ability to operate automatic and manual transmission vehicles.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to lift, carry, or move items weighing up to 100 pounds.
  • Ability to stand and remain active for extended periods.
  • Proficiency in English required; a second language is a plus.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
