Versatile Marketer Opportunity At Billdu
We're looking for a versatile marketer with a startup mindset to join Billdu. We're looking for someone who actively follows trends and brings fresh ideas, who isn't afraid to experiment, learn new things, fail many times, and try again. Someone with a business / entrepreneurial mindset who also has at least some understanding of mobile apps.
We're not looking for a complete junior, but you don't need to be a seasoned senior either. We're not hung up on specific skills or expertise - what matters to us is your drive, your approach, and your motivation to push yourself (and Billdu) further. If you get stuck, that's fine - what counts is knowing how to search, who to ask, and where to find inspiration, whether in our team or in the community.
So instead of listing requirements, let's show you what your typical week at Billdu might look like. You decide if it fits.
What You'll Do
Monday - You dive into conversion rates from "Free Trial ->
Subscription" for our Invoice Maker app in the US, trying to figure out how to raise them to match the performance we see in Australia. In the afternoon, you suggest changes to our emails and push notifications. Together with the CMO, you review and finalize them.
Tuesday - Either on your own or with the help of a designer, you put the changes into Figma, and later in the afternoon, you set them up in Iterable - the tool we use to communicate with our entire user base. You realize Figma isn't your strongest skill yet - no problem, you already have an approved online course for Figma basics. You also double-check that campaign reporting is running correctly. Midday, an ad-hoc task pops up : the app will have a short maintenance downtime, and we need to notify users in advance.
Wednesday - You notice web traffic has dropped compared to July. Together with the CMO, you figure out which pages perform best and how to improve them in WordPress - whether for SEO or for sign-up conversions. Should we send a different email to people who come via the website than to those from the App Store? You're not sure yet, but you're thinking about it. During the day, you step out to run some errands - totally fine.
Thursday - At the regular sync with the CMO, you learn that the top priority for next quarter is increasing the number of invoices paid through Online Payments. After a shared lunch at a food truck, you brainstorm ways to convince users to try these payment options. You start drafting a plan for a series of emails, educational blog posts, in-app messages, and notifications. Later, you step out of the office for a good coffee.
Friday - You take a home office day to focus. You start with a weekly status call with the marketing team to review the week and prioritize tasks for the next one. Then it's focus time : creating content (you're welcome to use chatgpt / claude - we've got it ready for you).
Requirements
So, what should this Swiss Army knife of marketing at Billdu be able to do?
- You can communicate in English (written and spoken) - since most of our users are outside Slovakia.
- You have some experience in digital marketing (emails, social, SEO, performance, etc.). We don't expect you to be a specialist in everything, but you should have hands-on experience and the motivation to learn more.
- You've got drive - if you don't know, you'll find out, ask, or try.
Bonus (not a must) : If you've worked with mobile apps or SaaS before, or if you know tools like Figma, WordPress, Iterable - you'll have an advantage.
