Crown Staffing is looking for qualified Sheet Metal Fabricators in Keosauqua Iowa. Sheet Metal fabricator will fabricate sheet metal products and equipment. Work may involve setting up and operating machinery to cut, bend, and straighten metal parts to supply our upstream departments with parts they need.What you’ll be responsible for in this role:• Operate all equipment in the sheet metal department, including brake presses, lasers, punch presses, sanders, and deburring machines• Fill all part requirements to complete rounds for the kitting department• Read rulers, tape measurers, metal squares, angle finders, protractors, and other measuring instruments• Read and follow written and verbal instructions• Read and interpret blueprints and work orders• Perform appropriate preventative maintenance on equipment and tooling• Examine finished work pieces for smoothness, shape, angle, or conformity to specifications and verify dimensions, visually and using hands, rulers, calipers, templates, or gauges• Start machines, adjust controls, and make trial cuts to ensure that machinery is operating properly• Monitor operations of machines and make adjustments to correct problems and ensure conformance to specifications• Work at different workstations as production needs require• Maintain the work area in a clean, safe, and orderly manner• Use proper safety equipment and apparel required for each operation on individual’s product line or work cell• Perform other duties as assignedTo be a great fit for the role:• Team oriented – values the synergy of a team and operates as a team player• Effectively collaborates, engages others in discussion and is hands-on in problem solving• A fast learner able to quickly come up to speed on business processes to manage and serve the needs of the organization• A passion for getting things right• Can-do attitude, committed to finding solutions• Demonstrated ability to read and comprehend blueprints and schematic drawings• Demonstrated proficiency with handheld tools and other measuring devices• Demonstrated proficiency with written and verbal communication and/or instructionPhysical Demands:• Occasionally – Stooping/Twisting, Kneeling, Squatting, Visual Acuity (Near/Far), Keyboarding, Pinching, and Lift/Carry up to 50lbs alone and 75lbs assisted• Frequently – Walking, Pushing/Pulling, Reaching, Gripping, Foot Use, and Lift/Carry up to 25lbs• Constantly – Standing*Occasionally – Occurs up to 1/3 of the time*Frequently – Occurs 1/3 to 2/3 of the time*Constantly – Occurs 2/3 or more of the timeNext Steps: Forward resumes to or give us a call at 816-931-3222.Crown is an equal opportunity employer M/F/DCareers at Crown Staffing
