Job description
Knoxville company is seeking a Maintenance Technician.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform maintenance tasks to support the assembly floor and facility.
  • Detect and report defective equipment or unsafe conditions to the department supervisor.
  • Clean and maintain work area and equipment to ensure safety conditions are met.
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.
  • Prepare and set up machinery for scheduled production runs.
  • Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of packaging and production machines.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment.
  • Diagnose problems, replace, or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment.
  • Detect faulty operations, defective equipment, unsafe situations, and report to supervisor.
  • Ensure all actions are in compliance with rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Complete all other duties and cross-training activities as assigned

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of two (2) years of Maintenance experience required
  • Specialized Knowledge:
  • Familiarity with electrical systems and wiring
  • Ability to use hand and power tools
  • Fabrication knowledge preferred, but not required
  • Competencies:
  • Ability to complete assignments with attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities and job duties
  • Willingness to help where and when needed, beyond the scope of normal day-to-day duties

Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $17.00 - $17.00 Per Hour
