Direct Support Professional (DSP) – Pasadena

Residential In-Home Care | Vision Life

Vision Life provides in-home care support for individuals with physical and intellectual disabilities and behavioral challenges who choose to continue their care goals in a home setting.

We are currently seeking full-time and on-call Direct Support Professionals to support a Deaf male client who uses ASL.

This role is ideal for someone who is a quick learner, adaptable, and comfortable supporting behavioral needs in a structured residential environment.

Shifts Available:

Full-time hours available

On-call positions available

Flexible scheduling based on availability

Ideal Candidate:

ASL experience or willingness to learn ASL quickly (strongly preferred)

Experience supporting individuals with behavioral challenges

Patient, calm, and adaptable

Strong communication and observation skills

Comfortable following behavior support plans

DSP or in-home caregiving experience preferred

Reliable and dependable

Responsibilities:

Provide direct support in a residential in-home setting

Communicate using ASL and visual cues

Support behavioral and care goals per individualized plans

Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs)

Provide companionship and structured support

Maintain safety, dignity, and consistency

Complete required documentation and follow agency guidelines
