Per Diem/Part Time/Full Time position available for candidate with ARRT R.T. (R)(M) certification & NYS DOH license.
Job Summary:
The mammography technologist operates a mammography unit in a mobile setting at various locations throughout Western New York for screening purposes.
Uses proper radiation protection and precautions, prepares, and operates mammography equipment.
Demonstrates use of proper positioning to produce quality mammography studies.
Perform and document all QC procedures prior to screening.
Operates equipment safely and competently, while obtaining high-quality images.
Maintains required CE's for both ARRT and MQSA compliance.
Participates in activities/tasks to maintain compliance and accreditation with the Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) and the American College of Radiology (ACR).
Participates in annual inspections and documentation required by MQSA and ACR
Communicate with patients in a positive and respectful manner
Maintains a clean and orderly work area, restock supplies and maintain a list of things to be ordered
Education and Experience:
AAS- Associate of Applied Science- Radiologic Technology or graduate of approved ARRT Certification Program Required
ARRT certification in Radiology
Mammography Courses Completed
BLS certification preferred
