Non-OSU Student Assistant-Inventory Management

We are recruiting non-OSU students for a Fall and Winter internship with the Facilities Operations unit with the potential to work through the remainder of the school year.

Responsibilities:

• Just In Time inventory management
• Learn how inventory is tracked, par levels, order quantities, etc.
• Clean and audit janitorial closets (Lifting up to 50 pounds)
• When to order, how items are committed to orders, and how they are charged out once they have been delivered.
• Warehouse organization and layout functionality + change management - Receiving, Picking, and delivering of materials - Understanding inventory management systems and their role throughout processes.
• Learn how to update cell phones.
• Determine order quantities based on-hand inventory, past patterns, and future demand -
• For JCIP/ FOD Student Life to be able to provide these key learning points, basic functions (ordering, picking, delivering, and cycle counts) will be the basis of daily work.
