Job Description
Are you a cheese enthusiast ready to dive deep into the gourmet food scene? Join us at Murray's Cheese for an exciting opportunity to share your passion for cheese with customers in a dynamic retail setting. Collaborate with our knowledgeable Murray's Cheese Master to cultivate an inviting atmosphere grounded in our core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.
Responsibilities
- Expertly cut, wrap, and artfully present a wide array of cheeses and gourmet grocery items.
- Enthusiastically engage customers through interactive product demonstrations in the Murray's Cheese Shop and Deli.
- Provide outstanding customer service by initiating friendly conversations and offering delightful tastings.
- Participate in daily cheese tastings to deepen your product knowledge; a love for exploring new cheeses is essential!
- Contribute to meeting sales and profit objectives.
- Uphold health, safety, and sanitation standards for all products.
- Maintain a fresh, well-stocked selection of products in accordance with the Murray's operations manual.
- Complete all required Murray's Basic Skills and Red Jacket Training programs.
- Create a unique Murray's Boutique experience by educating and enchanting customers while implementing effective merchandising strategies.
- Perform all tasks efficiently, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- A deep passion for cheese and a strong motivation to learn more.
- Eagerness to taste various cheeses each day.
- Exceptional communication skills to connect with diverse audiences.
- Prior retail experience is a plus.
- A true food enthusiast dedicated to growing our cheese offerings.
- Ability to inspire and engage customers while effectively carrying out responsibilities.
