Overview: The Senior Project Engineer will lead and manage project controls on complex EPC projects spanning multiple disciplines. You will be key in overseeing the full project scope, which includes monitoring installed quantities, managing contracts, project planning, scheduling, procurement, and reporting.
This role requires effective communication and collaboration with all project stakeholders including clients, engineering/design teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and project management.
Location & Travel: This is a traveling position requiring up to 90% travel across various project sites in the U.S. You may be placed on project sites for an average of 8-18 months. We provide designated per diem and a competitive salary to cover living expenses, plus mobilization support and a longer weekend every four weeks for home time.

Responsibilities:
- Represent the company professionally in all client interactions.
- Provide required contract reports to clients (weekly, monthly, and scheduling).
- Champion safety protocols and assist in developing site-specific safety plans.
- Create accurate formulas for monitoring material installations and completion percentages.
- Establish and review work plans and packages effectively.
- Support quality plan communication, ensuring timely completion of inspections and documentation.
- Manage daily labor reporting and oversee procurement tracking.
- Conduct job safety analyses and train on their appropriate usage.
- Lead safety reviews, toolbox meetings, and training initiatives.
- Track material deliveries and prepare procurement status reports.
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate site work teams.
- Guide Field Engineers in data gathering for project submissions.
- Evaluate and prepare purchase orders, contracts, and procurement documentation.
- Manage project records, correspondence, and documentation comprehensively.
- Develop and maintain project controls for productivity and forecasting.
- Generate change orders and assist in project budgeting processes.
- Serve as the primary company representative in the Project Manager's absence.
- Lead a team of Field Engineers and manage field office staff efficiently.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years experience in a Field Engineer or related role.
Skills Required:
- Knowledge of health and safety programs and regulations.
- Ability to analyze engineering plans and provide cost-effective alternatives.
- Strong leadership qualities with a focus on safety and operational excellence.
- Willingness to travel and adapt to various work environments.
- Physical stamina and strength to perform demanding tasks on construction sites.
