Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

• Prepare, review, and sign legal filings and court documents.
• Attend and represent the client in assigned judicial hearings.
• Communicate and advise private counsel on cases.
• Communicate with project staff regarding legal questions, opinions, and interpretations.
• Act as an advisor on legal issues involving compliance.
• Coordinate with outside counsel for litigation and legal matters.
• Interpret applicable regulations and policies associated with case to determine recommendation.
• Ensure solutions are consistent with organizational objectives.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in related field.
• 3-5 years of relevant professional experience required.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience considered in lieu of degree.
• Health insurance experience required.
• Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited university highly preferred.
• Experience auditing health plans preferred.
• Familiarity with the California Knox Keene Act preferred.
• Quality experience preferred.
• Availability for occasional meetings in Pacific Standard Time (PST) required.
• Occasional travel to the state of California required.

Home Office Requirements :

• Minimum 5mpbs upload speed
• Connectivity to the internet via Category 5 or 6 ethernet patch cable to the home router
• Private and secure work area and adequate power source
• Must currently and permanently reside in the Continental US
• Must have a smartphone which will be required to log into Maximus systems
