Molex is seeking a Director of Operations for our Lincoln, NE campus. This individual will lead a 24-hour operation with approximately 700 employees. The role is critical in driving operational excellence and fostering a culture of innovation and transformation. This role will be responsible for people development, economic-based business management, and vision realization to guide and further develop functions including molding, stamping, plating, and assembly operations as well as safety, product quality, materials, planning, and environmental systems.

What You Will Do- Coach, mentor, and develop plant operations leaders across stamping, plating, molding, assembly, tool room, and materials management to achieve business objectives while managing variances and minimizing cost of poor quality.
- Embody and promote Principle-Based Management (PBM) principles consistently, fostering a culture of accountability across the campus and global operations.
- Lead organizational change initiatives with respect and courage, ensuring smooth transitions and employee engagement.
- Embrace and drive operational excellence through the Molex Operating Systems (MOS) and leveraging Digital Transformation tools to improve processes.
- Partner with our design center and other domestic or global manufacturing operations to share knowledge and best practices on a regular basis.
- Lead operational performance by monitoring KPIs and metrics, applying principle-based decision-making to meet targets.
- Identify talent gaps at both individual and organizational levels, coaching supervisors to develop skills and close performance gaps.
- Use performance data and economic analysis to prioritize and allocate resources effectively to maximize results.
- Champion continuous improvement efforts by challenging existing processes and driving cost-saving initiatives across the plant.
- Oversee all aspects of plant financial performance with full P&L accountability, ensuring achievement of revenue, cost, and profitability targets.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- 5+ years of senior leadership experience leading large-scale operations in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- 5+ years of experience managing manufacturing, engineering, and/or technical teams.
- Demonstrated application of quality improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.) with experience leading process improvement projects.
What Will Put You Ahead
- Demonstrated production knowledge of injection molding, stamping/plating, or PCB Assembly manufacturing.
- Prior experience in high volume connector manufacturing.
- Prior Automotive industry experience.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and inspire teams at all levels.
