Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate manual machining equipment, including lathes, mills, and grinders.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to produce parts accurately.
  • Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
  • Inspect finished products for quality and adherence to specifications using precision measuring tools.
  • Collaborate with engineers and other team members to troubleshoot and resolve machining issues.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols and best practices.
  • Document production processes and maintain accurate records of work performed.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in machining is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a manual machinist, with a strong understanding of machining processes.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Familiarity with precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, etc.).
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
