Responsibilities
Set up and operate manual machining equipment, including lathes, mills, and grinders.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to produce parts accurately.
Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
Inspect finished products for quality and adherence to specifications using precision measuring tools.
Collaborate with engineers and other team members to troubleshoot and resolve machining issues.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols and best practices.
Document production processes and maintain accurate records of work performed.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in machining is a plus.
Proven experience as a manual machinist, with a strong understanding of machining processes.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
Familiarity with precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, etc.).
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
