As part of our expansion in the US, XNRGY is seeking a qualified Manufacturing Systems Engineer to join its team, reporting to the Engineering Manager.

An overview of your responsibilities:

The MES Lead Engineer serves as the technical authority for Manufacturing Execution Systems across the organization. This role drives the design, implementation, integration, and continuous improvement of MES solutions that enable efficient, compliant, and data-driven manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with strong cross-functional leadership, ensuring MES capabilities align with business goals and production needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Own MES applications and integrations with production systems (ERP, SCADA, PLCs).
• Deploy and stabilize major MES releases for the site.
• Partner with Production and CI to prioritize the backlog based on operational impact.
• Execute fixes and enhancements to MES and system integrations.
• Deliver shop-floor-ready, user-centric solutions.
• Troubleshoot MES, interfaces, and production system issues.
• Manage defects, enhancements, and technical debt through a structured backlog.
• Collaborate with MES engineers at other factories to align solutions and standards.

Qualifications

Experience

• 3-7+ years in MES or manufacturing systems in an industrial environment.
• Hands-on experience supporting factory operations.

Technical

• Ignition experience (required).
• MES configuration and deployment experience.
• Integration with SCADA, PLCs, and ERP systems.
• Working knowledge of SQL and manufacturing data flows.
• Understanding of OPC UA and industrial networks.
