Aquinas Consulting is currently looking to fill an Industrial Engineer job for our client located in New Haven County, CT. In this role, you will support manufacturing operations by documenting processes and driving improvements in efficiency, quality, and standardization across the plant.
Industrial Engineer job responsibilities:
- Develop clear work instructions and job breakdown structures with visual aids
- Capture knowledge from production staff and translate it into standardized documentation
- Conduct time studies, process flow analyses, and ergonomic and safety assessments to improve efficiency
- Release new products into production with complete documentation and training materials
- Support production teams with troubleshooting, process improvements, and technical guidance
- Maintain labor standards for costing and capacity planning
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and train or mentor production staff
Industrial Engineer job qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field preferred, or associate degree
- 2–4 years of industrial or manufacturing engineering experience
- Experience with time studies, process documentation, and ERP systems
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to work on the production floor, operate equipment, and lift up to 50 lbs
