Job Title: Manufacturing Production Supervisor

Position Summary
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Manufacturing Production Supervisor to lead our dynamic production team. This role is crucial in overseeing daily operations, ensuring high quality and safety standards, and meeting production goals efficiently. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator and a hands-on leader committed to fostering continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily activities of production teams while ensuring targets are met.
- Assign tasks to team members, monitor their performance, and align activities with shift goals.
- Develop and mentor staff through training and coaching to enhance operational excellence.
- Enforce strict safety protocols, PPE requirements, and OSHA compliance.
- Conduct quality checks to guarantee that products meet specified standards.
- Troubleshoot operational challenges and collaborate with maintenance teams as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of production reports, shift logs, and KPIs.
- Promote and implement 5S, lean manufacturing principles, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Assist in hiring, onboarding, and conducting performance evaluations.
- Ensure clear communication between management, maintenance, and other departments.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor's degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of supervisory or lead experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Solid understanding of production processes, machinery, and safety protocols.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze data, identify problems, and implement effective solutions.
- Must be comfortable standing or walking for extended periods and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and overtime as necessary.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing techniques, 5S, Kaizen, or Six Sigma.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
- Background in automotive, industrial, or high-volume manufacturing sectors.
