Manufacturing Coordinator
Position Summary
The Manufacturing Coordinator supports daily production operations by ensuring effective communication, accurate scheduling, and timely execution of manufacturing tasks across all departments. This role serves as a key liaison between the 1st and 2nd shifts, supervisors, quality, maintenance, and warehouse teams, maintaining workflow continuity and ensuring compliance with GMP standards. The coordinator is responsible for organizing production documents, tracking progress, resolving minor issues, and helping ensure the manufacturing plan is completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
Location: Miramar, FL
Schedule: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Pay Rate: $20–$25 per hour, based on experience
Key Responsibilities
1. Production CoordinationMonitor daily manufacturing activities and support execution of the production schedule
Ensure all operators have the required materials, tools, and work instructions
Communicate real-time changes, delays, or issues to the Manufacturing Manager and Supervisors
Assist in coordinating weighing, blending, encapsulation, tableting, and packaging workflows
Verify completed batches are transferred to the next department on time
Serve as a communication bridge between 1st and 2nd shifts to strengthen continuity
Participate in or lead shift hand-off discussions to ensure accurate documentation of issues, progress, and priorities
Maintain positive and professional communication with all team members
Complete and review batch records for accuracy and completeness before submitting to QA
Ensure operators are following SOPs, GMP requirements, and company policies
Support updates to SOPs and work instructions as assigned
Maintain organized production files, logs, and documentation
Assist in onboarding and training new operators on workflow, GMP, and daily expectations
Provide ongoing guidance to operators to improve efficiency and reduce errors
Support the Manufacturing Manager with audits, investigations, and process improvement initiatives
Identify bottlenecks, material shortages, or equipment issues and escalate appropriately
Recommend process improvements to enhance safety, productivity, and product quality
Coordinate with maintenance and warehouse when support is needed
Required Qualifications
Experience in a manufacturing environment (nutraceutical, pharmaceutical, or food preferred)
Understanding of GMP, SOPs, and batch documentation
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Basic computer skills (Excel, Word, ERP/MRP, RedZone systems a plus)
Preferred Qualifications
Experience coordinating or leading production teams
Bilingual (English/Spanish) highly preferred
Knowledge of weighing, blending, tableting, encapsulation, or packaging operations
