Job Title: Manufacturing Test Engineer
Job Description
Contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of test systems for electrical and control subsystems across robotic product lines. Build and implement automated test solutions for embedded hardware to improve efficiency, traceability, and test coverage.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate daily with design, systems, firmware, and manufacturing teams to ensure testability and manufacturability of products.
- Analyze test data to detect issues, drive root cause investigations, and implement corrective actions.
- Support new product introduction by creating scalable test strategies from prototype to production.
- Maintain and update documentation for test equipment, processes, and protocols.
- Mentor junior engineers and technicians, while continuously improving test practices and tools.
Essential Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a similar field.
- 5-7+ years of relevant experience in design, test engineering, and hardware engineering.More junior candidates with proper degree, capstone, internships and lesser years of post-graduate experience may be considered for future roles.
- Proficiency in ECAD tools (Altium preferred) to interpret electrical schematics and define test requirements.
- Knowledge of boards for motors, particularly 3 phase DC.
- Understanding of signal integrity and impedance matching.
- Experience in designing and deploying test fixtures from a hardware standpoint.
- Expertise in PCB/hardware design for testers.
- Experience with complex hardware-based electro-mechanical systems.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with manufacturing execution systems (MES), test result databases, and statistical process control (SPC).
- Exposure to safety-critical product development and regulatory compliance standards.
- Background in robotics or highly integrated mechatronic systems.
Work Environment
The role requires working on-site 5 days a week, with potential for flexibility in the future. The work environment is split 50/50 between the lab/manufacturing floor and an office setting. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the next generation of robotics technology.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Salem, OR.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $50.00 - $67.31/hr.
