We are seeking a skilled and driven Manufacturing Manager to oversee and optimize daily plant operations within a dynamic assembly and metal fabrication environment. This is a key leadership role that balances strategic vision with hands-on execution, championing both production excellence and team development.In this role, you'll lead both the Production Operations and Manufacturing Engineering teams, working closely with senior leadership to align production goals with long-term organizational objectives. The ideal candidate is a collaborative problem-solver with a strong foundation in manufacturing processes-especially in metal welding-and a passion for continuous improvement.Responsibilities:

• Lead daily operations of production and manufacturing engineering in a plant setting.
• Identify and resolve bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and quality issues across departments.
• Supervise and mentor team members in both union and non-union environments.
• Analyze production data, developing and implementing corrective action plans as needed.
• Collaborate with engineering teams on capital projects and modernization initiatives.
• Manage annual operating budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources and cost control.
• Develop and maintain robust safety programs focused on continuous improvement.
• Foster strong cross-functional collaboration to drive performance and accountability.
• Promote open communication and a team-first culture across departments.
• Implement formal process improvements to drive productivity, reduce costs, and enhance efficiency.
• Ensure production timelines meet customer demand while upholding top-tier quality standards.
• Support initiatives related to health and safety, quality control, scrap reduction, and employee engagement.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field (preferred).
• 5-7 years of experience in manufacturing leadership, ideally within a metal welding environment.
• 3-5 years managing operations with multiple integrated functions (., Production, Engineering).
• Strong track record of solving complex problems in a manufacturing context.
• Demonstrated servant leadership skills with a focus on team development.
• Proficient in lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills across all organizational levels.

Preferences:

• Experience with custom and repeatable metal working production environments.
• Background in pressure vessel or related heavy manufacturing industries.
• Familiarity with managing teams in unionized settings.
• Prior involvement in capital investment or plant modernization initiatives.
