Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer
Job Description
This role is crucial in developing manufacturing methods that produce parts consistently meeting or exceeding customer requirements. The position focuses on continuous process improvement, enhancing methods, and devising new manufacturing techniques to increase yields and reduce labor costs.
Responsibilities
- Conceive, evaluate, and implement problem-solving activities, cost reduction initiatives, and part/process improvements.
- Provide general technical support by collecting data and supporting manufacturing needs.
- Prepare quotations by developing material, scrap, and labor costs for cost modeling.
- Provide input based on customer specifications for BOM, routings, and milestone plans, and support tooling development and build.
- Offer manufacturing support for prototypes, instructions, and data analysis in process development.
- Troubleshoot, validate, and qualify equipment in equipment design, build, and procurement.
- Conduct time studies and develop cell layout for cell and standard work development.
- Collect data and analyze part number scrap reduction and yield improvement.
- Analyze shift labor efficiencies and implement tooling changes for standard labor and process time reduction.

Work Environment
This position is based on-site with flexible hours between 8 AM and 5 PM, Monday through Friday. The role involves a time split between the manufacturing floor and office, offering a dynamic work environment that encourages innovation and change. Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Hampton, VA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
