You'll be responsible for conducting inspections, managing routine maintenance, planning repairs, and troubleshooting a variety of vessel machinery and systems. Your Responsibilities Include...
Perform all work following ACBL’s safety and environmental policies.
Adhere to ACBL policies, USCG, and environmental regulations.
Comply with ACBL's Safety Management System for Vessel Engineering, Maintenance, and Repair.
Ensure all equipment on fleet vessels operates properly.
Repair engines, generators, auxiliary machinery, and vessel systems as necessary.
Utilize an electric multi-meter for safe troubleshooting and repairs.
Document and execute necessary routine maintenance on fleet vessels.
Maintain accurate paperwork (both written and digital) related to repairs and maintenance.
Manage inventory of critical spare parts and reorder supplies as needed.
Collaborate with outside vendors for vessel repairs.
Assist with repairs to mainline vessels when required.
Support the maintenance and delivery of support vessels to and from mainline vessels as needed.
Keep PIC/MMC credentials current and assist with fuel and oil transfers when necessary.
Develop a working knowledge of the SMS to be utilized in daily activities and repairs.
Actively promote safety and environmental responsibility within the ACBL fleet.
Be available for on-call duties during weekends and nights as scheduled.
Carry out additional duties as assigned.
What We’re Looking For...
Ability to meet ACBL physical examination requirements.
Minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
Possession and maintenance of an active TWIC.
Valid driver’s license required.
5+ years of mechanical maintenance experience in related fields.
Must reside within a reasonable driving distance of assigned location (Employee is responsible for transportation to and from work).
It’s a Plus If You Have...
