Job description

Market Partner

A note from Royce Luque, VP of Sales: Every closed deal at Flowhub starts with someone who picked up the phone first. That someone is the Market Partner. I'm not looking for someone with a resume that already has a President's Club banner on it. I'm looking for the person who hears a "no" on Tuesday and dials again on Wednesday with a sharper angle, who treats prospecting as a craft rather than a chore, and who wants to learn to sell from the people next to them. This is the front line of how a new category finds its customers, and it's the clearest on-ramp to closing we have. Get the discipline and the resilience right, and I'll coach you toward the Account Executive desk. If that's the kind of run you're after, let's talk.

The Role

Flowhub spent a decade building the platform that runs regulated cannabis retail, and the demand is already in front of us. Inbound comes in from our website, trade shows, and marketing programs. New dispensaries open every week, and established retailers are ready to move off the software holding them back. What turns that demand into revenue is a disciplined pipeline engine, and the Market Partner sits at the center of it. As a Market Partner, you are the first person a future Flowhub customer talks to. You'll work a mix of inbound and outbound, qualify prospects, and book the demos that feed our Account Executives. You'll own a territory aligned to an AE, prospect into new and existing dispensaries by phone, email, SMS, social, and video, and turn scattered conversations into qualified pipeline. This is not an inbound-only role where you wait for the phone to ring. The win comes from consistency, resilience, and the judgment to know which accounts are worth your next hour. You'll report to Royce Luque, VP of Sales, and work on-site at our Coconut Grove HQ in Miami, five days a week, in the room with the leaders and Account Executives who run this motion every day. For a role built to launch a sales career, that proximity is the point.

What You'll Own (Prospect, Qualify, Hand Off)

  • Qualified pipeline from inbound and outbound. Follow up fast on leads from the website, trade shows, and marketing, qualify them against the profile, and book demos for the AE team. Inbound is the floor; the outbound you generate is where you separate yourself.

  • A territory you treat like your own book. Work a defined geography aligned to an Account Executive, identify the dispensaries worth pursuing, and partner with Sales on the plan to win them. Cannabis is regulated state by state, so every market plays by its own rules, and you'll learn to read them.

  • Flowhub in the field. Get into your territory at least once a month to represent Flowhub at regional trade shows, run live demos for the operators who turn up, take prospects out, and visit dispensaries in person. A lot of future customers are in those rooms, and you're the face they meet first.

  • The first impression. Be the first point of contact for new and returning prospects, open the conversation with a point of view, handle objections without flinching, and guide operators through the early stage with empathy for their business.

  • Disciplined activity and clean records. Run your outreach through Salesforce and our sales-engagement tools, document every touch, and keep your numbers honest. The reps who win this role are organized about it, not lucky.

  • Your contribution to the team number. Qualified pipeline generated, meetings booked and held, your conversion rates, and the steady output across channels that keeps all of it moving. You'll see exactly how your work feeds the revenue the AEs close.

You'll Probably Love This Role If:

  • You like the hunt. Cold outreach doesn't scare you. You get a charge from opening a door that was shut a minute ago, and you'd rather create a meeting than wait for one.

  • You're disciplined and resilient. You work a consistent cadence, you keep your records tight, and a run of rejections sharpens you instead of deflating you.

  • You can talk to anyone. You'll reach a first-time dispensary owner and a multi-location operator in the same afternoon, and build trust with both in a few minutes.

  • You're coachable and low-ego. You'll get live feedback from a VP and the closers around you, and you'll take it as a head start. Chill vibes, high accountability.

  • You want the path to closing. You see this as the launchpad to an Account Executive role, and you're willing to earn that move by mastering the front of the funnel first.

  • You believe in the mission. You see cannabis for the hard, fast-growing business it is, and you can get an operator interested in a platform built to run it.

  • You're Miami-ready. This is in-office at our Coconut Grove HQ, five days a week. Being next to the AEs and Royce is how you ramp faster and reach the closing desk sooner.

This Role Probably Isn't For You If:

  • You want inbound-only. Waiting on marketing to hand you warm leads is not the job. If creating pipeline from scratch sounds like a grind rather than a game, this is a different role than you're after.

  • You're allergic to cannabis. Our customers are dispensaries. If that's a nonstarter for you personally or morally, this isn't the right home. If you see cannabis for what it is, a legitimate and growing business solving a hard operator problem, you'll be in good company.

  • Remote is non-negotiable. This position is on-site at our Coconut Grove HQ, five days a week. If you need fully remote, this one won't fit.

Ideal Background (Not a Checklist)

  • Some experience in an outbound prospecting or sales development role, ideally in B2B SaaS or tech. Royce cares more about drive and coachability than years on paper, so treat this as a guide, not a gate.

  • Comfort with phone-based outreach and prospecting. You can pick up the phone, open a conversation, and keep your composure when the first answer is no.

  • Strong written and verbal communication. You can write an email that earns a reply and hold your own on a live call.

  • Organization and the discipline to manage many opportunities at once without letting any slip. Comfort in Salesforce, Outreach, HubSpot, or similar tools helps, though the tooling is learnable and not a gate.

  • A genuine interest in sales as a craft, and the hunger to grow into a closing role.

  • Nice to have: experience canvassing or cold-calling into local businesses, time in a startup or high-growth environment, or a background in collegiate sales competition.

The Hiring Process: Meet the Team

We respect your time. Each conversation should give you a clearer picture of whether this is the right move for you.

  • Stage 1 (Recruiter Screen): A 30-minute conversation with Aaron Friedman, our talent acquisition partner, on your background, what you're looking for, and mutual fit.

  • Stage 2 (Role Connect): A 30-minute conversation with Michael Salvador, a Senior Market Partner, on the day-to-day of the role and how the work actually runs.

  • Stage 3 (Sales Team Connect): A 30-minute conversation with Olivia Self, Sales Team Lead, on how you operate and where you'd fit on the team.

  • Stage 4 (Leadership Connect, On-Site): A visit to our Coconut Grove HQ to spend time with Royce Luque, VP of Sales and the hiring manager for this role, meet members of the team, and get a feel for the space you'd work in. Plan for roughly 30 to 45 minutes.

Total time from first conversation to offer: roughly two weeks for a strong candidate.
