Company Description
New Wave Therapy is about 1) supporting a diverse group of associates as they cultivate an authentic brand and private practice endeavor that is sufficiently profitable by the time licensure is met and 2) offering some in network options (Aetna and Cigna, Kaiser coming soon) and a moderate out of pocket fee to clients ($125 / hr).
Role Description
This is a FULL-time, telehealth role for an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, based in California. The role involves providing counseling and therapeutic services to individuals, couples, and families, addressing a variety of emotional and psychological needs. Additional responsibilities include marketing, networking, notes, and attending 2 hr supervision each week. Candidate is also responsible for tracking payments.
Payment starts with a 60 / 40 split. When the goal of 20 clients / week is attained, the split is 70 / 30. This job is for someone who is interested in building their own business and is highly self motivated.
Qualifications
Willingness to be present and take a growth mindset in supervision meetings
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and active listening skills
Licensure or eligibility for associate-level Marriage and Family Therapist license
Ability to work empathetically and ethically with diverse populations (this is very important)
Master's degree in Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field
Motivation to market candidate practice and contribute to obtaining clients
