Material Handler Needed for Industrial Vacuum Manufacturing Company in Rutherford, NJ

1st Shift 6am-4:30pm (Monday-Thursday)

2nd Shift: 4:30pm-3am (Monday afternoon-Friday morning)

Pay: $20-$25/hour ; Overtime: $30-$37.50/hour

Job Description

The Material Handler plays a crucial role in ensuring that manufactured items are ready for shipment. This involves placing items into containers, sealing and labeling them, and preparing them for transport. Additionally, the Material Handler performs final checks for defective items, ensures all items reach the loading area or inventory, and maintains detailed records of materials and shipments.

Responsibilities

• Weigh packages and label them appropriately.
• Operate sit-down forklift, when needed.
• Inspect packages to ensure they are not damaged.
• Inspect shipping containers to ensure they meet shipping regulations.
• Assemble daily orders by shipping location or other shipping categories.
• Keep records of packages including delivery notes and invoices.
• Fill out packing and order forms with relevant shipping information.
• Seal shipping containers and label them appropriately.
• Clean shipping containers and other shipping supplies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Basic math, computer, and keyboarding skills for working within the ERP system.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be authorized to work in the US.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rutherford, NJ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.28 - $22.28/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
