Outside Sales Representative - Inland Northwest
The Dealer Sales Rep (DSR) I is an outside sales role tasked to develop, maintain, and grow relationships with customers. Owns the dealer relationship and buyer relationship with key customers in the Okanogan Valley, Methow Valley, Tri Cities, Yakima, Leavenworth, Wenatchee, Lake Chelan markets. Part of an integrated local sales team focused on delivering value to customers and achieving sales and margin growth expectations. Ensures superior value is delivered to customers in support of primary demand efforts. Responsible for promoting and selling Distribution's full range of products, including engineered wood, commodities, and specialty building products.
Responsibilities include: Establishing, cultivating, and protecting the dealer relationship and buyer relationship with assigned customers. Coordinating customer strategies in support of delivering superior value to customers and growing wallet-share and profitability. Using market knowledge, relationships, and growing experience to seek out opportunities with new and existing customers for Distribution's full range of products. Gathering market intelligence and translating it into valuable input to drive decisions around product mix, pricing, inventory levels and demand outlook. Using that input to help drive decision-making. Developing and executing marketing and communication plans with customers, including promotions, specials, market pull through activities, and updates to products/pricing/service.

Proven success supporting large and complex accounts, including building and maintaining key customer relationships, informing programs and promotions, and negotiating solutions to enhance profitability and customer satisfaction. Highly organized, with strong attention to detail and accuracy. Strong communications skills (authentic, adaptive, persuasive). Analyzing the customer's business and developing solutions leveraging Distribution products and services. Successfully collaborating within a team environment and reaching across organizational and functional boundaries. Experience with building materials products. Familiarity with Distribution Center's products, their selling features/benefits, and the competitive products around them. Education and Experience: Minimum HS Diploma/GED 3+ years' experience in building materials distribution sales.
