Job Title : Operator I
Location : Irvine, California
Status : Non-Exempt
Shift : 5AM to 1 : 30PM
Position Summary
The Operator I is responsible for producing high-quality medical devices within a manufacturing cell environment. Working under close supervision, this role performs routine assembly, repair, and testing operations on pacemakers, implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs), leads, and related device components. Work is performed according to standardized procedures and is closely reviewed to ensure compliance with quality, regulatory, and safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble, repair, and test medical device components and finished products following documented work instructions.
- Perform routine manufacturing assignments in accordance with standardized procedures and quality requirements.
- Maintain accurate production, traveler, and quality documentation to ensure traceability and compliance.
- Utilize electronic data collection systems and standard computer software to record production activities.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with manufacturing leadership regarding issues, observations, and improvement opportunities.
- Follow all safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements while operating equipment and tools.
- Participate in continuous improvement and quality initiatives to support production efficiency and performance metrics.
- Demonstrate a basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Support individual and cell performance goals established with Manufacturing Supervisors or Managers.
- Maintain a positive, professional attitude when interacting with internal teams and external visitors, including facility tours.
- Support divisional initiatives and comply with Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and regulatory requirements.
