Holliswood Center is looking for a Medical Records Clerk for it's Skilled Nursing Facility in Hollis, NY.
DUTIES:
Compile, process, and maintain complete medical records for all residents
Ensure confidentiality and security of all medical records in compliance with regulations
Verify accuracy, organization, and accessibility of medical files
Maintain and update electronic health records systems
Audit, thin, and organize medical charts according to policy and retention guidelines
Release authorized information to appropriate individuals and agencies in accordance with regulations
Maintain data related to patient safety, diagnoses, treatment, and outcomes
Assist with scheduling appointments as needed
REQUIREMENTS:
High School diploma or equivalent required
Basic computer proficiency required
Strong organizational, communication, and follow-up skills
Prior experience in a long-term care or healthcare setting preferred
Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
Reliable, detail-oriented, team-oriented
