A company is looking for a Databricks Engineer to implement and guide best practices for the Databricks platform.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the build-out of the Databricks platform, defining structures for catalogs, schemas, and data assets
Establish best practices for data ingestion, modeling, and orchestration in a new Databricks environment
Explore and prototype AI capabilities within Databricks to inform future adoption
Required Qualifications
Hands-on experience with Databricks platform components and Unity Catalog governance
Strong SQL / PySpark skills and experience in designing ingestion and transformation pipelines
Practical knowledge of catalog structures and permission models; prior Unity Catalog implementation experience is preferred
Ability to adapt in a greenfield environment with evolving requirements
Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
